Oh, these will be used up immediately. I volunteer with a ministry house of nuns that goes in a van to the streets of San Francisco and feeds the homeless. We typically pass out day-old donuts from local donut shops, pb&j sandwiches, and any hot food donated by residents. Thanks for that info, however.

Not if you're a person who eats it every day. I prefer the natural Skippy tho.

Nah. This stuff will spoil before it's finished. More is not necessarily better for perishables.
Dont think I've ever had peanut butter spoil. Pop it in the fridge ๐Ÿคท โ™‚๏ธ

Lots of packaged and canned goods get donated to food banks with lots of time before the "best by" dates. And also many donations are accepted up to 4 years after the best by within some food banks. Just a fyi.

Should I pay $2.29/lb for good peanut butter or get this candy?

Exactly - I keep mine in the fridge which is kinda annoying cuz it's hard but the SO goes through 5-10lbs per month easy. I also keep pistachios, peanuts, mixed nuts etc. in there. I go thru phases and if not grabbing handfuls they get funky at room temp.

aldi's sells house brand creamy for 10ยข/oz
(they use the exact same veg oil recipe)
so you are bulking up on this for nothing.

It will once the oil goes rancid. But that would be at least a year past a best buy date.
