Not sure why this isn't front page already but it's the best deal I've seen in a while. The last best deal was at around $480 but at $449 this is a solid deal.

This is an automatic. You mean a super-automatic.

I bought this when it was $480. It's a great starter espresso machine. You get a PID which helps diagnose some issues in espresso. Be warned that the stock Breville sized portafilter is 54mm whereas the standard is 58mm. The stock portafilter and tamper are okay. Depending on how much deeper you go into espresso, you may want to upgrade the accessories.

My only gripe with it is the steam wand. If you make a lot of milk drinks, this one is slow. It takes a while to get going. Then when it does, it's pretty weak. I have to stand there for a good 10 seconds before the milk gets up to temperature (140 F or 60 C). It may be a positive as you are starting out because you'll have more buffer time before milk gets too hot.

All in all, competitively priced at 450, not great at 600.

Any recommendations for a good super-automatic that have a grinder, water tank, and that are easy to clean for under $1000?

Like the other comment said, check out the Philips models. The more expensive they get, the more drink types and range of customization. If you just want coffee and espresso with an attached milk frother with little customization, the Carina 1200 is an option.

Not fond of my super automatic. (Jura ena8). This makes a solid espresso. Jura basically makes a short strong cup of coffee. It's very different. I prefer this over a super automatic any day.

Why buy this when the Gaggia Classic Pro exists?

I actually bought the infuser. The GCP is a bit too advanced/manual and if you don't plan on modding, it's not worth it and you'll need to experiment more. I was leaning towards the GCP but changed my mind.
