5% with Apple Pay? If you paid with PayPal thinking it was it a qualifying digital wallet, unfortunately it's not.

This hasn't happen to me, but there are lots of stories about it. Often times it happened to people who used the Apple "hide my email address" sign-up option thats available in the IOS. Their systems seem to think these are malicious accounts and they lock them. And if it does happen, I can see how it would be a nightmare. At the point when they we're disabling shared cart functionality, I had an active shared cart and there was no way to checkout. I had to abandon my account because instacart couldn't fix it. Thankfully I didn't have a gift card balance because if I did, it would have been gone.

Unless they changed their policy, last year I bought a instacart giftcard on sale and regretted it.

I only use instacart like every other month, when they email me a coupon to make instacart wroth using ($20 off $50, 50% off up to $100, etc) to offset their upcharging & fees in comparison to just using walmart+

Turns out, you can't apply a coupon AND use a giftcard. You have to choose one or the other. Even partial paying with a giftcard won't work, won't let you use a coupon code and pay $1 off with a giftcard, it's really stupid.
