Well, don't know what to tell you. BofA is my bank, and I've been silver level for the past ten years. Lost it earlier this year due to some high expenses. And it's total across all accounts not including business accounts.

Is 3% the best that can be found for a choose your own category card? I remember when venmo started their CC they did 5% but I think they dropped it to 3 too.

US Bank has one that has 2 5% categories you can pick each quarter from a list (but they're narrower) with I think a 2k/quarter 5% cap
https://www.usbank.com/credit-car...-card.html

Citi custom cash is 5% across much broader categories and you "pick" which is 5% based on which you spend the most on that month... ($500 spend cap each month for the 5%)

I was a relatively new customer when I had a dispute with a shady online auction company (not that large one). Even though I wasn't sure if they would do the right thing, they did. BofA has been fair to me so far. Merrill Edge has good Treasuries as well.

This is a good card. 0% apr for 15 months. Great arbitrage with 5% savings accounts now. The $200 and cash back categories are a nice bonus. Capital One denied me for the Quicksilver card, even though I have the Venture X. This card is basically the same.
Which savings account give 5% interest rate? I am highly interested

You mean 5% on the uninvested cash?

FYI there is a fee on foreign currency purchases just in case anyone was wondering.

Thanks for buying this. I thought this was standard across all banks and never questioned it. BofA screwed me with this several times and I never questioned it. Not a lot of money but it does add up.

Same. Had this card and about $300 in reward dollars. BOA closed the account and kept the reward money because the account was inactive during the pandemic. F BOA.

Depending on the card company, 6-12 months is the dormancy period for cancelling an inactive card... ALWAYS use a card in a less than 6 month time, even if for just a candy bar or some $1+ online transaction at least once to keep them from closing it.

And dude, unless it's good for something besides cash back or a statement credit, always cash it in periodically so the bank doesn't steal it for dormancy or some other technicality... Unless it's worth more with time or you can get a really good deal on something by letting it ride, cash it out!

Most items cost more with "points" than cash does, so cash it out and use it to buy directly... Maybe even at a discounted price, like at Walmart.

No, it's not. There's a 3% fee. Taxes on your savings account will eat away at the earned interest. Not worth the effort.
Incorrect analysis (and misleading). 0% on purchases with no fees still leverages amazing savings rates over a 15-month horizon, while you're also earning bonus cashback and the $200 bonus as well. Best available at this time.
