This looks like a good card to replace my Citi Costco. All of my cards have been compromised at some point. Citi handled it. Discover handled it. Credit Union was a pain... its in the sock drawer now for backup only.

I usually keep my bonus cash back category set to online purchases, but I recently had a new furnace, AC, and water heater installed, so I switched the category to home improvement and made over $400 in cash back on that one purchase, alone. Since I have two of these cards, I was able to maximize my cash back by spreading the purchase over both cards and hitting up both of the $2,500 maximums on the bonus categories (since that's $2,500 in purchases which get the bonus cash back per *card*, not per person).
You need 100k cumulative in BoA accounts to turn 3% in a category into 5.25% in that category (or 1.5% on their unlimited cards into 2.625% on anything).
This can include $ invested in an IRA in Merrill Lynch which is prob. the most common way folks do it.
If you get 1M in there you get even higher status (and >5M higher still), but to be honest the extra perks are pretty lame (and don't increase CC rewards either) so 100k is the sweet spot.

I had a large purchase so I got this for the 0% APR for 15 months. I can pay off the balance, but I'm getting 4.5% in a HYSA instead.
