LOL. And also he's not really correct...

As mentioned in the post,
"Redeem points for a statement credit to pay for travel or dining purchases"

Historically, in addition to the more obvious travel categories, I've also been eligible to claim points on transactions for public transport, rideshare, bike share, restaurants, bars, and food delivery apps. It is also possible to claim points for public parking and tolls.

Super useful abroad as well (no annual fee, no foreign transaction fee, flat 1.5% points rate, and don't need to worry about categories). Every category listed above applies even when the businesses are in other countries.

I never run out of transactions to apply my points to. I imagine the demographic that's typically interested in a 1.5% everything, no foreign transaction fee card would be in a similar boat!

Domestically, Citi Double Cash is a great no annual fee option for those who don't want to think about categories (2% everything).

Instead of Citi double cash which gives you 1 % in the next statement and 1% after you pay, Wells Fargo active cash is also a good alternative which 2% cash back on the statement date.

I have been using this card with 2.62% back, with platinum premium or whatever tier its called.

Its the highest cash back, no annual fees, no foreign transaction fees.

I am planning to move all my cash from Bank of america checking/savings to fidelity brokerage account for 4.99$ APR. So now my cash back will drop from 2.62% to 1.5%. I have citi bank with 2% cash back. Wondering if there are any other cards with more than 2% cash back with no annual fee?
I'm not aware of a no annual fee card giving more than 2% cash back on all purchases. You can however achieve this with multiple free cards.

Bank of America Customized Cash Rewards Credit Card (the red one) will give you 3% back on your selected category (I've chosen "online shopping") though there is a quarterly limit. If you're a BofA Preferred customer you'll get a 25-75% bonus on your cash back depending on your tier (yes, you could get up to 5.25% back). There's no annual fee however it does have foreign transaction fees as I accidentally discovered a few years ago (thanks Mojang). Right now there is a $200 sign-up bonus when you spend $1000 in the first 90 days.

If you're a Costco member then it's a no brainer to get the Citi Costco Anywhere Visa card - 4% on gas and EV charging (for the first $7000/yr), 3% on restaurants and travel, 2% on Costco warehouse and Costco.com online purchases. There are no annual fees and no foreign transaction fees either.

The Discover it Cash Back Credit Card will give 5% cash back on up to $1500 in different category purchases each quarter (need to activate the category however). At the end of your first year they will match all of the cash back you've earned with no limit.

I have Costco card Exec as a member. There is a $60 or $120 membership fee depending on which level of membership you get. It's worth the $120 for me. Like you mentioned, all the benefits and i use mostly for buying stuff there and gas. What people also don't realize is that you also save $ from buying some of the same items at another store and more healthier options there.

With that being said, i still might get the BoA card. I have a checking account there too since i will be traveling abroad more.

Can the $250 be applied toward the statement or is it restricted to ONLY travel?

Just curious why not BoA brokerage (Merrill), you could do brokerage things and keep your high cashback.

I am considering a move in the opposite direction, just not sure all the work is worth the trouble.

Now they do have autopay in the amount of your statement balance! I agree it was super annoying to do manual payments until they finally implemented that though. It made no sense to only have minimum payment and preset amount autopay options...
I checked my B of A credit cards and still don't see an autopay option. Where should I look ?.

I have owned this travel reward card for many years.
I recently learned that auto rental insurance is excluded from Tesla specifically in the documents.

I have this card for years and I was offered 2.25% for any purchase when I called the bank to apply years ago and it also offers rental car insurance (not anymore for new applicant as I know). It was one of the best no fee travel cards back then. Well, time is different.
I have avoided BoA credit cards because they used to issue me a new card at least once/year due to fraud and I'd often have to phone them to get transactions to go through (especially airline tickets). I haven't had this problem with any other card issuer. Have you had a similar experience with this card?

Can the 250,000 points or 250 dollars be used as Cashback to normal purchased items like electrónic stores?
