This seems like a worse deal than the 75 piece kit. I'd rather buy two of those. More sizes of each type of bit

Agree. Unless you are a construction worker who uses them on a daily basis, you don't really need so many duplicates. To be honest, even 75-piece set was an overkill for the me, but for $20 it's got a good value.

But this includes a $45 packout. So it's basically $10 off the packout and free bit set or am I missing something

It's designed for use in the packout, doesn't come with it

The bit set seems ok. I bought two and although it's easier to take my parts out, my case does not shut tight and I can see it being a problem if it drops or if there's a leak. Doesn't seem that sturdy, and poor construction
