Both are also playable on Board Game Arena
That's Ticket to Ride Europe, which has a few more game mechanics (tunnels, ferries, and train stations) than the original, USA variant. Ticket to Ride (USA) [amazon.com] is also on sale for the same price.

The Ticket to Ride series of games are some of my father's favorites.

Splendor is one of my favorites and the one I teach to people not very familiar with modern board/table games.
For toddlers I would stick to the classic board games. Candy land, chutes and ladders, trouble, high ho cherry-o.

My kids also really enjoyed sneaky snacky squirrel, count your chickens, and hoot owl hoot for more recent games

I own or have played most of these - you really can't go wrong with any of them. Just One would be the most casual thing on here and my one pick from here would probably be Sheriff of Nottingham.

I 2nd the Ticket to Ride games. 1 word of caution tho, both the USA and Europe versions come with small cards ("train" cards), which are not very use friendly when it comes to shuffling. Both versions have "expansion packs" (which aren't always in stock) which have full-sized cards and significantly more route options. One trick to help with the shuffling issues is to use multiple discard piles so the same-color cards get mixed up as you play

Sheriff of Nottingham is a household favorite. $18 is a steal if you like social deduction/bluffing games. The theme is a lot of fun.

Carcassonne and Ticket To Ride are absolute classics! They're very easy for newbies to pick up too.
They've also both got digital versions that are cross platform with Steam, ios, and android.

Pandemic is an outstanding collaborative game that my kids love!

We also enjoy the various Ticket to Ride games.

We played so much Outfoxed when my kids were younger. Really good intro to "thinking" games and strategy.

Ticket to Ride and Splendor are good introduction games. Both are relatively simple. We love Ticket to Ride but Splendor got old fast.

Unless something's changed, Ticket to Ride Europe comes with the larger train cards. Only USA comes with the small ones. The 1910 USA expansion comes with a set of larger cards and is pretty essential anyway for balancing the USA map.

For anyone interested, I particularly like the UK/PA expansion set. It's quite complex (especially the UK map) but a lot of fun. I dislike the Old West expansion, especially for only 3 players. Personally, I consider its design flawed.

For Carcassonne, I only recommend getting the big box, which comes with multiple expansions. The scoring in the base game never made sense to me. There's an obvious strategy that offers potential reward, but little risk.

One game I haven't seen mentioned is Wingspan. That's probably our favorite. We have all the expansions, except Asia, and they're all great. Though, you may want to take out the overpowered crow and raven cards.

Ratings of ones we've tried:
Sheriff of Nottingham - Definitely worth it. Had loads of fun with it.
Pandemic - Eh, adult kids said it was ok (very lukewarm review from them). I wasn't really impressed.
Mysterium - Fun, but not played tons.
Ticket to Ride - Definitely worth it. Buying replacement because they wore out the last one.

They also have Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza on sale and that one is a hit.

Unstable Unicorns, What Do You Meme, Villainous, Catan (we have a few versions), and Exploding Kittens are also hits as well.

There's tons of great games, but many aren't of the Hasbro variety which tend to be too linear, non-creative, and frankly boring for parents.

Take a look at stuff published by:
Peaceable Kingdom (they do cooperative games really well which I think are WAY better for young kids than stupid "competitive" games like Candy Land where the winner is basically predetermined)
Gamewright and Thinkfun have lots of options with good mechanics and will be more familiar to fans of eurogames or games with some degree of complexity/interest while still being appropriate for Toddlers.
