Netflix just added Aquarius and I'm really enjoying it. It stars David Duchovny (The X-Files) and it takes place in Los Angeles in the late 60s. The central character in the story is Charles Manson.

I can't get myself to watch the new episodes of 1923 and I'm wondering if I should give King of Tulsa a try. I haven't started 1883 and I've never seen Yellowstone. Landman was mixed but Billy Bob Thornton was great in it. I enjoyed Lioness but I don't know if I'd watch any new episodes.
Most of the shows you mention, I have not seen, but if you mean Tulsa King, I did watch that and enjoyed it. Hoping for a third season.

I tried watching Yellowstone because I heard such rave reviews but could not get into it at all. So I never bothered with 1923 or 1883.

I do have Landman on my list of things 'to watch' and am adding Aquarius to that list. Thanks for the recommendation.

Eta: Two of my favorites on Netflix are The Night Agent and The Recruit. Have you tried watching those?

I saw both of those shows. Why do so many tv shows have the FBI and CIA as the bad guy? It makes me wonder if the conspiracy theories about the JFK assassination and so on are really so crazy.

I'll take your recommendation on Tulsa King. Thank you.

I'm not saying that 1923 isn't good. I would definitely recommend watching it. Maybe I've seen too many Taylor Sheridan shows and got burned out. Landman is another must watch if for no other reason than how good of an actor Billy Bob Thorton is. You'll also learn a little bit about oil and the economy. Lioness is worth watching especially if you liked The Night Agent. I think you'll really enjoy it.

Aquarius isn't for everybody. It's not your typical network show. There's a lot of sex, drugs, and violence, David Duchovny is superb in his role as a LAPD homicide detective and it's a must watch if you want to see the ugly side of Los Angeles in the late 60s.

I'm a couple of episodes into the 2nd season of Aquarius and I see why it was canceled. It's way too much Manson. One or two shows is ok but not 2 seasons of him. There are way too many story lines going on and a lot of them aren't very interesting. The show started off like it was going to be great but lost its way and is now just a dark and disturbing mess. I'm going to finish it because I got this far but I take back my recommendation. I wouldn't get started with it. You'll be so much better off watching something like The Night Agent.

I'm going to change my opinion of Aquarius again. It got really good and I'm up to the final episode. I'll watch it tomorrow when I'm not as tired as I am now. The only thing that I didn't like about Aquarius was the storyline about the ex-wife and his son. I can't stand the ex-wife and the Pentagon Papers stuff didn't need to be in there. It's also weird because some of the story is based on things that actually happened and some of it is fiction. For example, Sam Hodiak didn't actually exist but the black drug dealer did. There was a connection between Manson and Brian Wilson and Terry Melcher. I think that Emma is based on Leslie Van Hooten but I don't actually know that. I have no idea what's going on with the Richard Nixon stuff and if there was any real connection to Manson other than a statement Nixon made that almost caused a mistrial.

I watched Adolescence last night on Netflix. It's a 4-part series about a 13-year-old boy accused of murdering a classmate. It has to be the worst thing I've ever seen. If I could give it below 0 stars, I would. It moves at the pace of an iceberg. It's 4 hours of nothing. There isn't an interesting character in the whole show. The dad is particularly annoying. In the last episode, he must've said "love" a million times. Not as in "I love you" but as in "ok, love." Most of the time, I couldn't understand what he was saying because his accent was so thick. The first episode was the booking process of the 13 year-old in real time. It took 10 minutes to do the fingerprints if that gives you an idea of how slow the show was. I kept on waiting for something to happen but it never did. A total waste of time.

On the other hand, I watched Manson Family Vacation and it gets 5 out of 5 stars. It reminds me a lot of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Two brothers go on a road trip to talk things out. It doesn't have much to do with the Manson family so don't let the title stop you from watching it.

Can't wait for the new Yellowjackets tomorrow.

Contact corporate at the phone number on your receipt. Explain all the complaints you have shared to us to the person you talk to at corporate. I have had very good luck getting issues resolved in the past by doing so. Complaining here is not going to change anything.
I moved this over here to not clutter up the Safeway thread. My plan for today was to explore the bus system and if I could find a reasonable way to get to the Vons that's 5 miles away I was going to buy a bus pass. My plans were ruined when it unexpectedly rained. I have to make a transfer to get to Vons and one coming back home. I'm going to have a lot of time sitting there waiting for the bus to come. 10 miles is out of my walking range and it's actually more like 12 miles. I can do it but then I'm done for the day. I have so many challenges in my life and this is one that I don't need. Getting a bagel may seem like a small thing but it's really important to me. There's not a lot that makes me happy these days and having a bagel in the morning is something that I look forward to. A car just isn't in the budget and with the neuropathy in my legs I shouldn't be driving anyway. I don't want to think about this topic anymore. I get stressed out over it and it's not good for my heart. I'll deal with it as best I can. Unfortunately, I have to go next door to Vons to get something for dinner. It really sucks but no other grocery store is close. Smart and Final is 2 miles each way and it's raining. I'm sorry that my frustration spilled over into the Safeway thread.

I've found the Vons or Albertsons pharmacy staff to be very rude, so I no longer fill prescriptions there even though they have a $50 pharmacy card. Not worth it for the aggravation.
I'll move this one over here, too. I 100% agree with you about the Vons pharmacy not being friendly. I've had issues with not getting the advertised promo like a $75 gift card and Vons did nothing to help me. Considering how much I spend at the pharmacy, it's ridiculous. I have one drug that's $1500 a bottle and I have to refill it once a month. I have some other drugs that are around $600 a bottle. Heart meds aren't cheap. The co-payment can make a big difference especially when you're on a budget and Vons pharmacy is much cheaper than CVS. If I can figure out a good way to get to the other Vons, I'll make them my pharmacy. There's no reason for me to give my pharmacy business to a store that won't fix some obvious problems with their bakery and frozen section. It'll be more inconvenient for me but that's ok.

I wasn't saying you don't have a right to be frustrated, but commenting on here won't fix your problem. I have had great success fixing issues in the past by calling corporate.

We each have our own way of dealing with problems. I took the bus to Vons. I talked to the bakery girl and manager about how unhappy I was with the other Vons and told them that I'd be shopping at their store from now on. When I got back on the bus, it was the same bus driver and we started talking and I told him all about Vons. I stopped at CVS on the way home and told them all about Vons. Now I'm relaxing after my busy morning. I'll probably tell 10 more people about Vons this afternoon. Pretty soon the whole city will know lol.

Btw, CVS is on fire this week with the 10/25 Epic Beauty promotion.

I would not wish Kroger on my WORST enemy. At least in SoCal. You want a moldy loaf of bread made offisite for $7?
I'm no fan of Kroeger. I loved the old Ralphs before Kroger bought them and then Kroger came in and totally ruined them. Ralphs went from being a super friendly neighborhood store to a corporate mess filled with a-holes. The only reason I mentioned Kroeger is that I don't think they would tolerate a broken freezer the way my local Vons does. I've never had moldy bread at Ralphs but I have had moldy cheese at Vons twice.

I got an email this morning from Western Bagel. Bagel Brad's deal of the week is a dozen bagels and a large cream cheese for $24. I'd hate to see what the regular price is lol.
