I've had this card for at least 7 or 8 years now. No issues at all. Had my information stolen twice (Not CC company fault) and they quickly sent me new cards, refunded false charges, everything was smooth and worked great. I love the ease of 2% cash back on EVERYTHING. I don't want to think about anything with cashback, just give me a solid amount. My friends use cards with 1% but bonus on categories, I guess maybe that is better if you keep track but I don't have the time or worry about that.

Over the course of using this card I've gotten the following for free (I save my cashback for 'fun stuff').
- Xbox One X
- Xbox Series X
- Playstation 5
- Bose Quiet Comfort 2 Earbuds
- EGO 670 CFM Leaf Blower
- A couple nicer dinner with my wife

I use my CC for everything so it racks up quickly.

Just don't fall for using this thing at Amazon, they will try everytime you check out. But the points don't convert 100%. Like 1000 points is I think $10, but on amazon it's like $8. Its dumb, just use it to cover expenses on your account each month (kinda a pain) or just give yourself a nice statement credit anytime you buy something big/fun (what I do).

This use to have a requirement of $500 spend to get $200 bonus. $1,500 is outrageous for such a small bonus.

A lot of other credit cards give you NO bonus. Better than nothing.

Eh not great at all. I think it's chase that has a card that offers $200 back after $500 spend. A good all rounder for 2% back is the PayPal MasterCard (they were the very first to offer 2% on all purchases years ago)

Yeah, that's the way I remember when Citi 1st introduced the card. And I was so pissed 'cause I missed the chance to apply for it back then. Now, I just have to take $1,500. Darn it

Is that the only benefit of the card, no travel protections or extended warranty? Also has 3% foreign transaction fee.

Does it include the virtual card numbers Citi feature?
I think it has extended warranty. I recall my Fitbit broke after 1 yr and the card gave me a refund since Fitbit only has a 1 yr warranty.

Damn, afraid of the $500 credit limit. Wonder if there is an income level they are basing it from

Maybe a trick so that you can't get the bonus. You will have to fully max out your limit for 3 months if that's even possible.
Not really. You can make payments as you go and that restores your credit limit. You can easily spend way more than $500 in 1 month.

Applied and got approved for $11000 limit.

Not bad. It's not as good as Fidelity 2% which doesn't have foreign transaction fee. However it has $200 bonus so I'll get it too.

There are many cards without foreign transaction fees, e.g. most/all the cards from Cap1 and premium travel cards.

The Double Dash seems good because you can transfer points to airline miles (if you also get Citi Premier), which often give you significantly more than 1 cent per point. I do the same thing with Chase where I pool all of the points and use a Sapphire card to convert to airline/hotel points.

Yes to the virtual card numbers question for this particular card. Via mobile, strangely you have to do it via Chrome browser vs the Citi app.

I couldn't get my virtual card number to work.

The annoying thing about the card is Walmart will try to steal your points when checking out. They don't give you a penny a point and ask you to use your points every swipe.

Citi had my back on a Dell purchase. Mastercard blocked the transaction then had me buy it again and unlocked the card for the purchase. I ended up with two things. Dell took a very long time to issue the RMA, but Citibank went ahead and gave me a credit equaling the purchase until the items were returned.

My $1000 worth of cashback points expired without warning and customer support was extremely unhelpful, telling me they don't need to give me notice. Just remember to use your cashback ASAP.

should not fall for the convenient apply credit to statement, it does not get the 1 % normal payments does. Same points sent to your bank first, then used as payment for the same balance does get 1%.
