Stupid Citi bank approved my card, i intended to do a balance transfer and they gave me a credit limit of $500! I was so mad!
For reference, my credit score is 749, about 6% credit utilization with a credit limit of 85k between 5 other cards!

Maybe a trick so that you can't get the bonus. You will have to fully max out your limit for 3 months if that's even possible.
You can make payments anytime and get your available credit back

My $1000 worth of cashback points expired without warning and customer support was extremely unhelpful, telling me they don't need to give me notice. Just remember to use your cashback ASAP.

Wait WHAT?
The cashback points expire? Is the expiration date listed anywhere??

Got fed up with this card. Every other large purchase automatically gets blocked due to fraud alert and then you have to go through the root canal procedure of calling their call center person who barely speaks English in order to get the card unlocked.
Used the card ever since it was released over a decade back and made thousands in rewards, but I'm done.
Their AI based fraud detection sucks -- too little precision and biased towards too high recall.

This led me to to look for better cash back cards and gladly discovered the Bank of America Preferred rewards card that provides me a 2.65% cash back on everything and 3.5% on travel and dining. It also has better features such as extended warranty on merchandise, no foreign currency charges, trip protection insurance and quite a few other benefits. Couldn't be happier.

You can still do a balance transfer within the first 15 to 30 days (depends on the offer) and take advantage of the introductory offer. You will of course need to call them and ask them to increase your limit which is YMMV.

I've been using this card for at least 10 years now. It is the best credit card available, hands down. The 2% is amazing. But the best part are the VAN's. I use them for just about everything so if a site is breached they don't get my actual card number and I don't need to get a new card. We travel 6 months per year, so getting a new card can be a real hassle. There is one thing about it I hate, I wish I could get it without the "Double Card" printed in big letters on the front. Sometimes I feel guilty using it at smaller places, because someone is paying that 2%, and my guess is its taked on to the merchant fees. Oh, and something interesting that is kind of shady from Amazon with this card, is Amazon offers you to pay with your points that you have accrued, but they screw you out of 20% of their value. You can get the full points credited to your account, so why pay with points unless they think we are stupid... which we might be..Wink

Don't feel guilty. Credit card fees don't change depending on the type of card. They wouldn't care anyway. Business owners have bigger things to care about and employees definitely don't care.

Just a heads up. Wells Fargo limits non-Wells Fargo payments to four per month. I like the flexibility of paying at least once a week. They only allow 4 and you have to mail a check after that.

Does that one provide Virtual Account Numbers like the Citi Card does? That parts worth more than the 2% cash back by far.

I have this card and it's Meh. I will say that the big benefit of this card is the Virtual Number option. I use that number for everything I don't want recurring charges for. Sip Club, theathletic.com or anything I want to try without forgetting to cancel the subscription. Set the expiration for 2 months and viola.

But you don't get the charge for the second month?

Citi is the worst bank Ever.First it took a week to send it.I was able to activate the Citi double Cash right the way and use it only for a day.The next day they blocked it for no reason.Hours over the phone with Indian representative, recalled a result to get a replacement card. After a week,I got the new card, which I was not able to activate.Another hour with Indian representative and surprise:"They are not able to verify my identity, cause their system is not able to send me confirmation text to no one of our 6 phones at home. The new card was blocked again. After a week I got a letter with confirmation code. After barely an hour with another Indian over the phone,I have the card activated. But it was blocked again ,cause I dare to add it to my Apple wallet. Now after hours and hours over the phone with Indians,I`m waiting for another letter and as soon as I got it will close this garbage and stop doing a business with Citi forever!!!!

I haven't read through other reviews but this is my primary card and I wouldn't trade it for another. I've needed Citi a couple of times and their assistance was perfect each time. I pay the balance in full so I've never paid interest and the 2% back on all purchases (total after bill payment) is for me the best. To have to pick categories or to try to figure out amounts due back each month is not worth it (to me). By the way I spend about $2.2k each month. Again, when I had problems with a vendor, they were great and when I had a security issue, they removed the card very fast.

P.S.. just started to review others. I have not had issues like they did and I just learned of the virtual card part. Another positive reason not to change!

What Luise isn't saying is about gross income. Everything mentioned seems great other than the $85k limit between five cards.
