FYI, VA panel
No it'll be great for office. I use mine for work\gaming and it's great for both.
No. VA panels have gotten quite good, I use three monitors, one 2k VA 32" curved and two Dell IPS 1080p. The VA looks just as good when not viewed from the side but when do you view from the side at a desk?

I use the VA for both gaming and office work and I'm more than satisfied.

Some consider the resolution too low for the size of the screen, which would be more apparent with office related tasks.

I'm pretty certain this monitor was their $200 black friday special last year, of which I picked up a leftover in February for $150. In my opinion, even at the normal $249 I see this monitor, it's 100% worth a try.

I have two of these, wfh alot on both screens and have done a decent amount of gaming. Response rate is great. Hdr on these sucks so don't buy them for that but sdr brightness is plenty for me. Overall very happy and I paid 200 a piece.

What is VA?
It's to do with the alignment of the pixels. VA monitors tend to have better blacks and contrast but suffer from black smearing. IPS is the other big one, they have faster response times and better color overall but don't have the same level of contrast as a VA panel.
