This is a good deal. I think Lego could have added a few extra pieces to get the number to 1885, 1955, 1985 or 2015.

I dunno if you are joking, but it does come with extra parts to to build 3 different versions. The wheels even flip horizontal.

I just finished this set yesterday, and it was one of my favorite builds. Not too much repetition and a fun final product. Definitely worth the money.

I have this set also, and the set comes with 1856 pieces. As a fun detail Lego could have included an extra 129 pieces as a stand and come with 1985 pieces the year the Time Machine goes back to.

That would be really cool! Or they could have even made a special edition with the extra pieces.

LEGO Insiders can get VIP points from Target purchases by uploading a copy of their receipt. That may be incentive to order from Target vs. Amazon or Walmart.

More time has passed between now and Back to the Future than when Back to the Future went back to the future. Which is somewhat disconcerting.

I bought this and was disappointed that it didn't actually function as a time machine.

I think it didn't have enough power. I'll try harnessing some lightning by the bell tower in the town square.

Lies. It came out 15 years ago. 2000 will forever be the reference point for how far ago something is.
