$549 with EDU for me. Matte display is pretty bad though, using the new Alienware OLED for now.

Just an FYI. If you keep a Samsung monitor in your cart for up to 48 hours & go view your cart a few times during that period, it'll eventually give you a small discount. This is the additonal discount OP is seeing. There's random ways to make it give you the discount quicker but it's YMMV.

Furthermore, if you contact a sales chat agent, the agent can give around a 4% discount as well if you ask for an additional discount. Regardless of the existing discount in your cart. That discount will be available for 3 days & viewable up to 5 times in that cart (meaning it will disappear on the 6th cart view).

If it was IPS, I'd be all over it. Otherwise, warm at best.

If it was IPS, you woudn't get nearly the constrast ratio this thing has. All IPS + MiniLED suffers from contrast issues. That's why all high end MiniLED TVs uses VA panel, not IPS.

VA + good MiniLED implementation = nearly OLED black levels.

Why do you want IPS ? it has plenty of issue with the contrast. This is VA mini LED, I'm using it for over a year for work and gaming, it's pretty good monitor.

At this price, it's the cheapest monitor I've seen that will give you a satisfying HDR experience. Rtings liked it overall, I think this is a pretty solid deal. Currently $1k at Amazon.

Add 5% Samsung cb from BofA cc (ymmv)
Variable % from cb websites
This can be potentially another $50-75 back or at least offset the taxes if applicable

To max this thing out without scan lines and flickering for high end gaming (I don't game fyi) you need the higher end hdmi cables and I've read rtx 4090 to really not have any issues at highest level of play -

If only for movies or regular computing tasks the 240hz is likely overkill but a great monitor nonetheless

Good deal . Sucks for me . I just got the neo g7 for $499. Don't think it's worth the headache to return and get this.

Because he lives in 2018 when the only technologies were TN which was crap and IPS which was god-tier and better in every way.

Same. I think the G8 was only $50 more when I looked at my G7. I chose G7 over G8 after reading some bad reviews on the G8
