Read up on this stuff. In order to leave your dishes looking spotless, it leaves a "plasticky" film on it. I used to work for a water softener company and that was one of the sales lines. Here is a message board about an alternate idea:

Is this stuff edible? I know it's supposed to fully wash off but there's crevices around the bottom rim of cups and bowls that collect it and then drip on other plates when I'm taking stuff out. I don't like having to rinse dishes right out of the dishwasher so I switched to filling it with vinegar instead.

Thanks, just bought one for 1.59. Mine does say it won't ship out until May 1st-13th even with prime. I'm in no rush anyways since I have another full bottle under the counter anyways

I've used this stuff for years and yes drips sometimes happen in the crevices you're referring to. I've never once re-rinsed them….Im still alive…so I'm going to go with, yes.

Thanks OP. Looking to start using air dry on my dishwasher instead of auto-dry to save a little electricity. Hopefully this product helps the dishes to dry quicker.

It's about $.36 per ounce at my Samsclub for a 32 ounce bottle, just for future reference.

You're still alive which is great but any health issues? 🥴

Nothing that can't be attributed to just getting middle aged! Wink
