I paid $38.49 on the previous deal. I have a 55" old samsung KU6300 on it. I also think the short back legs are inadequate, but I have the front ones wedged under my very heavy bed frame, so it kind of can't tip over.
I think the designers are depending on the center of gravity being in front of the pole.I suppose putting it next to a wall could also help decrease the likelihood of tip over.

I know. I really want something like this that would be stable in my kids' playroom. A full entertainment center / tv stand takes too much room. but they're inherently top heavy and awkward lol

I got something like this from a recent deal. Yes, they're top heavy. I have a 60" up there, so it's very top heavy. For stability, I have a shallow table in front of it, and I'll soon put a couple of straps in the the wall. I very much appreciate the height, and it's in front of a window, so I can't use a wall mount.

do note that we have a couple of these in use across the family and at the different brand/models have a slight wiggle to them and required some shimming at the base of the pole.

Try to decide between the 55lb version vs 88 lb. Confusing why the 55lb version cost more. Why wouldn't you go with the 88lb?
Edit - just noticed 55lb version can adjust height
