The OP posted a link to Rtings.com which gave it a 9.0 for Video Games. So its awesome for gaming. Biggest issue is Viewing angles on it.

I have a 75 and 55 u8k and both look great and the input lag is less than my lg c3 with the picture being pretty close to the c3. Big fan of the quality/price ratio value of Hisense.

With that said, Hisense forced an update last week that trashed its HDR and Dolby Vision. It was amazing before the update and now it's way duller and less brighter. I'm not sure if this applies to the N but giving the heads up anyways.

My U8G 65" is still running, no issues. I'm not in love with the Android OS and the Youtube app is frequently glitching audio and crashing, but I'm not sure that's the OS fault or the app's fault. The thought of upgrading to an 85" and mini-led is tempting. I wouldn't be able to invite my family over anymore though. They already ridicule me for my TVs. Some people take vacations, I buy electronics.

being a 2024 model we should probably see a lower price later in the year if you aren't in a rush. worst case scenario we will definitely see this price again.

its a great tv though and the price is reasonable. i keep waffling on what i want to do. buy one thats good "enough" or go for broke and get the bravia 9. sony's motion processing is unbeatable at this point.

Aren't you better off getting a Samsung. This has to be priced at $1500 to compete.

What 2024 85 inch Samsung competes with this tv anywhere near this price? Can you buy last years qn90C, yes. Is it better than this tv? I don't know the answer to that. I had one for $1650 after tax delivered and it was broken. Sony X90L? This TV has much better contrast, black levels, blooming control and color gamut. I think I will wait to see a review on the 85 inch TVL QM851 or the new Q7. Maybe wait for a 98 inch Q7.

Just be careful. Record any Samsung warranty tech visits. They may take a utility blade to the screen and void your warranty for "customer induced damage".

Couldn't agree more. My 75" U8K looks terrible after the update... I was shocked by how good it looked for the price I paid. It definitely rivaled the 85" SONY X90CL in my living room. Luckily, I'm still within the return window. If Hisense doesn't fix this issue, it's going back next week. 😡

factory reset improved my picture as of 2 days ago. Coincidentally last night half of my screen went dark as if the local dimmer on the right side had stopped working. It fixed itself after unplugging for 30 seconds.

As noted by another poster, a factory reset after update should help with that issue. At least according to the poster above and AVS forum.
