Too many complaints about broken seals in reviews. Otherwise, I'd try it despite the shrunk 8.8oz package. I'm used to 10oz bricks.

The Lavazza website lists it as a robust medium roast. I use it in a drip coffee maker and I find it somewhat similar to a dark roast. I have to use one less scoop per my 12oz. cup or I get the jitters.

Strength is more related to grind size than anything else. I'm trying to use it for espresso, but it's just a bit too coarse for my crappy machine.

I don't see no 20% coupon on product page...

[Edit: when browsing anonymously I see the coupon. Only when I'm logged into Amazon the coupon is gone. I've used Lavazza coupons before, so maybe I used up all my lifetime of Amazon Lavazza coupons Mad ]

It's always been 8.8; that's a quarter of a kilo. European measurement.
