For $57 more, it almost seems better to just get new.
Just when I thought it was impossible for a modern laptop with a dedicated GPU to sell for under $500,
the good Doc comes through with another incredible deal!

Thumbs up and repped!
Considering the RTX 3050 is the entry level for gaming it's far far FAR from mid range gaming.

Showing as $529.99 for me.
EDIT: That's for new, if you select open box excellent, it's indeed $472.99
With such a small price difference I'd think most people would be better off just buying new. You're likely saving $60 that'll cost you $250 in time, parts, and labor to fix.

One of the lowest prices for a dedicated graphics but for $150 extra on sale you can get an open box asus with an rx7700s which seems to be a pretty big step up.
Yup that's what I'm thinking as well. Wait for the next sale on the ASUS TUF A16 with the RX7700 and pick that up for between $580 & $650 (2 most recent FP deal prices)

"The RTX 3050 laptop graphics card is a mid-range graphics card from Nvidia."

It may be among the slower mid-range cards, but it's still mid-range. Otherwise, there would be no tier for integrated graphics, which it vastly outperforms.
The 3050 is about as entry level as it gets for a dedicated GPU these days.

No, it's a dedicated graphics card for medium or regular gaming, appropriate for most people and most games, especially at only 1080p which is the native resolution of the laptop.

At a price of $473, it's an amazing deal. In fact, there is no better deal currently!

Integrated Radeon or Intel would be for low-end gaming, or an older, slower dedicated graphics card.

There's fairly big gap in performance between 3050 and 4050. I'd recommend 4050 card at $600ish price range with better screen.

Any thoughts on how something like this would handle Adobe Lightroom. I'm not a gamer, but Lightroom runs like such a dog on my computer with an integrated graphics card, I thought something like this might be the fix. Any experience with that? Thanks.
