I've been buying the Lavazza Nespresso pods for years, from the older plastic pods to the newer aluminum ones... not a single crushed pods. So there you go.

Score another one for original Nespresso! Vertuo will get their chance in about 5-6 years when the patent expires.

But by then, Nestle will own all the water in America and will sell it to you for your Nespresso machine.

High failure rate with these. 1 out of maybe 4 or 5 get crushed and won't make coffee, even after multiple attempts. Saw that in several batches and flavors. Not worth the hassle.

Thanks for the feedback. Might just be my machines! Glad to hear it though. The espresso tastes good so this is a good deal if it works for you!

My wife bought a vertuo last year but the pods are nearly $1 each. Just got a Lattissima One original machine today. I like it better(this one has a milk frother though so not exactly the same) and the pods are way cheaper.

Looking at the Amazon reviews of these pods, a lot of people complain about them crushing so I don't think it was just you. Filter by most recent reviews and probably half complain about crushed pods.

Interesting. I've experienced crushed pods with both Nespresso and Starbucks capsules, but the coffee still turned out fine. The same goes for generic capsules from Target and Peet's. Occasionally, I'll find a crushed capsule in the bin, but it has never affected the brewing process.

May I ask what model Nespresso machine you have? I know there are certain pods that are listed as incompatible with certain machines.

I have an older model, Nespresso Pro, seems to work with anything I've thrown at it. Capsules load "foil down" in this. Have a Pixie too, and rarely saw problems, and when I did it was usually my bad.

I have an off brand one (mixpresso) and the nespresso inissia. Both are on the cheaper end but the weird thing is that they both do it with just these brand pods. All other brands I have no problems ever. It will brew Starbucks and other brands all day long with no issues. I don't know, kind of weird. The both load the same way, sideways, kind of like a gun and on both I experience the same thing. The sides get crushed on the sides and the front foil indents doesn't puncture. but doesn't Glad to hear most others don't have issues though.

My Citiz model has no issues with these pods

I agree. Low intensity ones don't have much taste, high intensity ones taste burnt.
