This is such a great little figure. He doesn't look right in alt mode, but his bot mode is about perfect. Keep this one on display in bot mode and the WFC Netflix one in Alt mode for a nice display.

Agreed. But it looks pretty spot on to the G1 toy. But that's a good idea to display it in robot mode.

Seems small for the price, but I've seen the new GI Joe action figures for around the same price. Wonder what my gently used original Soundwave and Shockwave would go for these days.

Wholly dependent upon condition and how complete they are. Value is definitely helped by how popular both characters remain for the past 40 years.

I agree! That was a fair MSRP 20 years ago.

Yeah. Unfortunately, prices have shot up because of inflation. I still remember deluxe sizes being just $7 back in the early 90s with better plastics too (and some with diecast!). Now we're seeing $20+ for deluxe size Transformers.

Bro that's 30 years ago not 20. You might as well talk about how gas were 99c a gallon.

But for real though die cast phased out in 86 and deluxe wasn't an official thing until Beast Wars, and they were $9.99. Should get your memory checked.
