Yes that is a good, not great price, but very good if you need a battery, though me personally I go for the 4mAh batteries mainly, but the 2.0 batteries I use in flashlights or spotlights.

It's a good price but not great. Sometimes you can do better. For example, $99 for two 6Ah high performance batteries.

Looking at $/Ah only is not a one-stop metric because you have at least 4 types of cells these days, it's also based upon tech, c-rate, and size.

However if you are saying is $40 for a regular Ryobi 4Ah then the answer is yes. When you look at other capacities you won't get as good as a deal because you need to recover the cost of the electronics/etc so you won't likely see a 2AH for instance for $20. The higher cap ones have more c-rate so they are better for higher power along w/ HP and the newer tabless ones coming out. They will cost more per Wh (as voltage matters also) but that is a tradeoff if you need more cycles, higher power, etc. It's not just a raw commodity but for the average user who doesn't care the "sweet spot" is the 4Ah regular battery unless you have some high power draw applications that really require the extra beans.

This is just a warm deal, and to me the 2Ah is for niche usage or smaller tools. I personally would look for deals on 2 pack or larger 4/6 or HP if you are looking for the lowest cost and best "deal". A few weeks back and Ryobi days you can score. Maybe BF you will see some stuff because sales are down and they need to move product. So I would hold off for now, and wait for BF to see.

Thanks for the more indepth info! Seems I missed a 2x 6ah HP kit for $79 just recently.

Think they're clearing out for their new lithium edge batteries

Yes factor of 1000....takes 1000 miliAmp-Hours (mAh) to equal a 1 Amp-Hour (Ah).

What is this? I mean, it's posted, and has comments and TU's, but right on the front page is this plus a tool for $99. I am seriously confused what's going on. Has Ryobi become a luxury brand with a cult following that thinks everything is good? That's not what Ryobi is supposed to be at all. You all need to make like a Pokémon and evolve to Milwaukee if your acting like this!

My apologies for thread wrapping, but this makes no sense and never will. This is never a deal unless it's at $30 like you can get it with a tool you'll return. I'm not saying to return the tool, but buy these with a tool for crying out loud! Who does not want a tool for $30 if you really believe this is worth $70? I mean, it's a green tool like y'all like!

Do these batteries have a low voltage cutoff or is it in the tool?
