These were a Front Page deal at $120 back in August. If these are within your budget, they are certainly worth trying at this price. They were too rich for my pocket, so I settled for TW-E5B, which are the midrange counterpart to these.

I don't think Yamaha manufactures their own earbuds unless it's different for their higher end buds.

I bought the cheaper ones for $30 a bit back and they were just rebranded chinese buds. Sound quality was decent for the price, but the build quality was not great. Felt a bit cheap and sometimes they won't charge or auto connects even in the case.

Anyways I recommend staying away from these unless they were like $50, unless someone has done a thorough reviews on these.

I think they just rebrand buds from other companies and slap their label on. At least they do this for their cheaper buds. First saw them for sale like 2 years ago.

Definitely not worth it at MSRP, but might be ok under $100. I will stay away until it's like $50

You're correct, they don't.
It's made by Shenzhen Grandsun Electronics.

That review is fine for a $100 pair. Most importantly, sound is great. Negatives? Two. The first being the list price. I chose to buy because I compared it to others that would cost around the same. The second negative? noice cancelation. Well how many $100 buds have great cancelation and why would you want it? I have over the ear sets for environments where I need it but if I'm using buds (at physical therapy for example), I need to hear outside of the set to a degree.

Post purchase update: arrived as promised on 10/01/24. Downloading the app was a breeze as was pairing. First issue was they arrived at only 10% charge so a thorough test was not possible. I changed the tip to the largest and hopefully it won't fall out. Initial impression of the sound quality was simply amazing for $100. I haven't yet tried the ANC but assuming they don't break, I'll be happy.

For me, good ANC is my main consideration, and I'm very happy with my Bose QC Earbuds II for that reason. They have their own shortcomings, like only one device can be connected at a time (terrible for my working day as I toggle between Teams meetings and taking phone calls). But they have great ANC and I've replaced my over ears on flights, saving valuable space and weight in my bag. Sound quality is what you expect from Bose, which is to say they're great but not amazing.

In short: I like them, but I don't love them. I posted my impressions over two replies in this thread. In hindsight, I'd rather have my $59 back and try something else. That's not to say that they weren't worth $59. Just saying that they weren't worth it to *me*.
