A certain cashback extension (which Slickdeals modded this post for b/c reasons) alerted me of 10% cashback from a store I never heard of in my life (but seems to be a thing in the midwest I guess based on the store locations) called SCHEELS [scheels.com]. Shipping is free too, but $15 back + 5% using Paypal & Chase is pretty damn good. Cancelling my Amazon order for this place!
basically, not looking nonstop over shoulder to see if there is a vehicle approaching.... OK sure you might think you can hear them, but with wind and road noise (and decreased hearing) you cannot confidently. So instead of worrying what is behind can focus on what is in front and enjoy the ride

I've been doing it all my 60+ years and never had a need for 'looking nonstop over shoulder'. BTW, it's a great exercise for your neck muscles and blood arteries and veins to save you from stroke and brain hemmorage, and a plethora related to diseases - the leading cause of death, way ahead of 'not looking over your shoulder'. By using this gizmo you just nullifies the best medicine you get from bike riding and greatly improves your chances of premature stoke and death.
Keep doing it and maybe do more as someone is triggered with other people liking this.

I cycle in NYC, every time I look over my shoulder I risk t-boning a pedestrian, stroller etc. I also can't time it perfectly and busses seem to appear out of nowhere, not to mention double parked vehicles I need to get around etc. I don't have this, but have considered it.

This is a fantastic product, but, FWIW, it still uses micro USB.
