Reviews are rough, apparently the resulting cookies don't taste very good.

Considering chocolate chips are more than $4 a bag and make about 60 cookies. This makes over 80 for only about $2 more than the chocolate chips alone. Good deal.

12oz of chocolate chips is $3 at aldi or Walmart.

This is 17.5 oz of total "stuff" per pouch. The stuff being the chips and dry ingredients.

This makes an adequate home made cookie - and there is definite time savings - but the cost savings is fairly meh.

You still need to supply butter and eggs.

You are better off just buying all purpose bleached flour and making them from scratch. You can get baking chips on sale for $2 or 3 dollars at your local grocer and can make much more batches at home for cheaper.

You're better off making everything you eat from scratch, but who's going to do that?

When it comes to a treat like this? I'll take the time to make home made so it's worth eating. If I'm going to have empty calories I want them to at least be GOOD.
