Same price at Home Depot, with little risk of getting fakes.

The metric 9-piece is $33.64: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Wiha-.../313604972
The color-coding is really the huge selling feature. And setting up lines or separate processes to make several different colors is a pain and (generally) a lot more expensive from a manufacturing standpoint. So, I get the price difference. And a lot of people that use these tools daily might appreciate recognizing a common size by color instead of having to read the labels.
You're not so much paying for the steel, but the heat treatment of the steel. Wiha is one of the better brands around for heat treated tools with Wera typically being the best. Proper heat treatment can actually be fairly complex and time consuming, it's the major difference between mediocre tools and great ones. Also, it should be noted that heat treatment is not just about reaching a specific hardness, but is complex and deals with the way steels go through different phases during treatment.

Edited for accuracy regarding brand. Initially wrote Wera.

I have these. Ridiculously good. Sure, I've bought the $5 model from HF and walmart before, but if you plan to use them more than once, you will be able to tell where that extra money went.

Consider: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BJW5M3GS

These are great. They have a ball hex and come in all consecutive sizes. Also, very good alloy, will not deform.

Oh, don't get me wrong, the color coding is awesome, but it definitely comes at an increased cost, doesn't necessarily make financial sense for many people and this is SlickDeals after all, I mean, an inexpensive pack of multicolored electrical tape and a couple of minutes of your time, and you have something very similar for much less dough. Just putting the thought and option out there for folks. The Tekton set listed earlier looks to be pretty nice as well. But again, no multi-colored coding on that set.

I agree the color coding doesn't really matter imo, rather have a large laser engraved or stamped size on mine, I also have an older set of Bondhus that I like & usually reach for, they are completely powder coated end to end, snagged the 2 pack/22 pieces of Imperial & Metric a few years back for -$30, USA made too if anyone cares lol

On pinball machines, you often don't have room to go straight in.

Under the playfied is crazy crowded with mechanisms.

If stuff is in the way, you can get in from a bit of an angle. But ball-end wrenches are more susceptible to stripping or wearing over time compared to straight ends. Unless you have a known need for ball end, I'd suggest going with straight wrenches.

Just fyi, these are Wiha, not Wera.
