I got this for my godson who has been struggling with his switch storage for quite some time now. Just popped it in and he was good to go after a small update. 👍🏼

Should be just fine. I use similar cards in my DJI Mini 2 for 4K recording and don't have any issues. When shopping for SD cards for drones, look for U3 and V30 on the card. This one has both.
Personally I find it more useful to get 2x 128gb cards for my drone, though. It makes it less likely that I'll have no SD card around when I need one, and 128gb is enough to fly 10+ batteries.

I've purchased dozens of micro SDs and only had one failure and it was an Evo card (which tested as legit when new). These would probably be my third option after the Sandisk Elite and the Samsung Pro line. This is a really good price for 256gb.

Ordered directly from Samsung. EDU + 20% cashback portal + PayPal / Chase Freedom brings the cost down to just under $13 before tax.

After seeing the 1TB for $50 deal, and two 1TB for $90 deal I think I will have PTSD on missing on it and be very hard to by anything less than 512GB. Hoping to see 512GB for $25 at least.

This is a good deal though, specially after CB.

Unexpectedly low price on teamgroup microsd cards. Matches speed and reliability of Samsung, PNY, Sandisk, and other top brands. I've owned them for years without issues and none have ever died. Scroll on this listing to see the options. They beat all other top brands' price across the board.

This is for high endurance:

Customers like the functionality, value for money, and write speed of the flash memory. They mention it works great in security cameras, is inexpensive, and has fast data transfer speeds. Opinions are mixed on its durability, with some finding it reliable and long-lasting, while others say it's fragile and can't withstand normal handling.

1 STAR review

1.0 out of 5 stars Frequent long delays at the start of Writes; not suitable for dashcam use
Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2024
Capacity: 256GB (3PACK)Verified Purchase
Update: After more testing, I have discovered that the problem with these cards is that each time you start writing a file, there is chance that you may see a delay of up to 12 seconds before the card finally starts writing data. Once the data finally starts flowing, the cards are actually very fast, maintaining 80 MB/s write speeds in a typical SD card reader. Unfortunately, this is why they fail to function properly in my dashcams, as it seems that the dashcam is constantly switching back and forth between writing to 3 different files for the 3 different cameras. Every time it switches which file is being written to, there's a chance for it to encounter the up-to-12-seconds delay where ZERO data is being written, causing the dashcam to malfunction. A dashcam which is unable to record constantly is not protecting its driver if something happens during the missing gaps of time. Team Group has replied to my initial review and suggested that I initiate an RMA to get them replaced under warranty. If I do end up receiving replacements, I will add another update after thorough testing.

Original review: I bought the 3-pack of 256GB High Endurance cards. These cards are sold with the V30 and U3 ratings, both of which are supposed to guarantee a continuous write speed of 30MB/s to support 4K video recording. I attempted to use these cards in 2 different dashcam models, one which records at 6.7MB/s and the other at 3.7MB/s. Unfortunately, they couldn't handle it. They lag behind and cause the less demanding dashcam to crash/reboot, missing chunks of time ranging from 5-45 seconds long. In the more demanding 3-camera dashcam (which also runs quite hot) the cards sometimes fail to record AT ALL for hours at a time. When this brand of cards are on sale, they can be the best deal for general purpose storage, but I cannot recommend the TEAM High Endurance cards for video recording. Additionally, I have a TEAM PRO+ 256GB card, and that card can JUST keep up with the 3.7MB/s dashcam, but it chokes in the 6.7MB/s one. So I can't recommend it either.

Based on firsthand experience I can recommend:
Samsung Pro Plus
Samsung Pro Endurance
SanDisk Extreme
PNY Premier-X

What's going on with microsd card prices this season (Nov 2024)? It seems like the "deal" prices are consistently quite a bit higher than a 1 year ago. Example from 1 year ago:

512GB Samsung PRO Plus UHS-I microSDXC Memory Card w/ USB Card Reader $35 + Free Shipping (expired)

This is the regular price. The next bump up to 512gb would literally be double, or $39.99.
