Does anyone have first hand experience with this exact TV. As is said on here a lot - Rtings reviews the smaller size panel, which can have different results

There is no U8N 100 inch tv and no real U7N 100 inch tv. There is the UX.

On the fence: TCL QM7 100 for $2k versus this last year model 100U8K for $2.8K. Does the hisense provide any better to justify the $800 increase? Thoughts?

I've had this model since last Black Friday. No issues to date and the picture looks fantastic. I do have a 77" LG G3 as well so while I'm no videophile I have a good TV to compare it against

QM7 is newer, brighter, and better than the U8K. Plus it doesn't put the eArc port on one of the two 4K/120 HDMI ports so that helps with consoles/PC hook ups.

Isn't the QM7 more comparable to the Hisense U7?

No. The U7N doesn't get nearly as bright in HDR and doesn't have the near the same number of dimming zones

With this specific one, no; however, I do have what was touted as a very good Hisense model at one point in time (UG6). It's not even 3 years old yet and I can't stand it. It's incredibly slow and laggy doing the most basic things (like scrolling through apps). I'm not sure if it's simply old tech or whether Google TV just sucks. In either case, I'll be replacing it with an LG OLED in a few days and relegating it to the guest bedroom for the in-laws to use lol.

The U6G was the entry level model, below the U7G and U8G (2021). I have the 65" U8G and it's still amazing with no lag. I kinda wish it would die so I'd have an excuse to upgrade to a larger size.

Had this for 6 months. Got a hisense u8g 65 for my bedroom and was so impressed with the picture quality vs my main samsung tv that I picked this up after preferrig the older u8g over my sammy. Took some learning and tweaking with settings but it blows my 3yr old samsung 85" away. picture is absolutely stunning. bright as hell too. Have to turn down the brightness to about 65% for normal viewing.

It has a chronic noise issue that you can hear when things are silent, other than that it is a great tv

Got this in January I believe. Love it, haven't really had any issues. It is a beast though - we had to take it around back and up the patio stairs to get it inside - took 3 people. You'll want at least three people to mount it also. You'll get over the wow factor of how big it is eventually and it'll make all other TVs seem tiny.
