Your issues are 100% about Snapdragon, which is ARM. This laptop is not ARM/Snapdragon, it's Intel x86/x64 running legacy Windows, so your comment is completely irrelevant.
I got this last week at the same price and wrote a detailed review here: https://www.reddit.com/r/laptops/...r_lake_is/. Short version: it's very good.
That's a Meteor Lake chip, not as efficient.

Thanks for sharing this I bought one as well and it's enroute! Is your 10-12 hour battery life out of the box with no adjustments to power management? Also by any chance did you try light gaming? How's the bloatware (asus bundled software?)

I didn't see much bloatware, but I always do a clean install anyway. I don't game. The 10-12 hours is with Windows' power setting on "Best Power Efficiency" and the display at 50-60% brightness. With some tweaking you can easily hit 15 hours.

I would add something about App Compatibility experience unless you only use the productivity listed in your reddit post.

I thought I was fine for a week then I hit a problem as I tested more apps that I really need to use day to day - the device was my secondary carry for a week so I didn't test something like Citrix until a week into it and my specific Citrix use requires something called App Protection and under emulation mode today... it does not work so I had to return my Snapdragon. Otherwise it is a great chip and great device line up (I bought the surface pro 11)

YMMV

bought it and returned it. Mostly a good laptop. Deal breakers were red faces and meh trackpad. I can live with the trackpad, but something up with the color profile. Color calibration did not help. All faces looked red.

I bought this last week as well and have also had a very positive experience with the laptop so far. I didn't do any formal testing/benchmarks, but took the laptop on a family trip/flight and was very impressed with the battery life. On the default settings, I basically used the laptop throughout the day off and on without needing too charge. Very informal, but a combination of web browsing, streaming a basketball game, and a bit of light games and it worked great without needing a charge and lasted all day.
Gaming wise, all i've tried are some light PC Game Pass games. There's a new game on Game Pass called Nine Sols and it worked great, but that's a small 2D Metroidvania game so not particularly intense.
The only thing is really a MyASUS app that lets you control various settings (OLED protection, sound, backlight, etc) and some StoryCube app.

the resolution is pretty low and only 60hz. Might try the snapdragon version of this instead.

The build quality is pretty average as well.

Does anyone knows if the body is plastic or metal? Full metal body? only the lid?

Urgh, this is so close to being a great productivity laptop. My only gripe is the lack of upgradable ram.

Is this laptop enough for a computer science student? Is the weaker multi core performance a issue? I'm currently eyeing the Asus vivobook pro 15 OLED with intel core ultra 7 155h and rtx3050 for 800$ should I get this instead? Need help.
