Nice laptop. Not much of a discount. (I know the CPU is new, but still.)
How is the keyboard compared to Lenovo's best?

60hz display is a huge letdown at this price point.

Yeah. I don't know what Asus was smoking putting a 60hz screen on this type of laptop with the user base it targets.

They are marketing this as a "creator" laptop, not for gaming. (Of course, the RTX 4060 and the AMD CPU are capable of gaming.) Maybe that's why. Gives you longer battery life and maybe shaves $50(?) off of the price.

I currently have this laptop, Best buy open box excellent $1,300.
I'm still on the fence.
Previously I tried a yoga 9i 4060, that seemed to run everything beautifully get it had a broken power button almost right out of the box.
All the benchmarks on the ASUS are higher than the Lenovo, yet it seems to run a little slower on DaVinci.
I have not figured out yet if this is due to some of the power saving functions or what. Still missing around with all the settings.
The 60 Hz screen has not bothered me at all surprisingly
So both on their website as well as under the q&a on Best buy's website, Acer claims that you can install a 4 TB SSD per slot.
So I bought a four terabyte drive, and it won't recognize it. After chatting with ASUS customer service they claim that it's max two terabytes per slot. Huge bummer.
I would not buy this for $1,699, but it's still my be a good deal at the 1300 I payed

I think entire display industry has moved beyond '120 hz is for gamers'. At this price point (and lower), gaming laptops carry 240 hz display. Yes, that logic holds at much lower price point. Can't tule out Intel arm twisting them to keep one or more specs poor which becomes a deal breaker for some.

Well, Intel itself is now getting ARM-twisted as well.
The funny thing is, when you shop for external monitors, the vast majority of 4K screens are still 60Hz.

Well, this is not a gaming laptop.

I believe in The previous deal thread on this laptop, somebody mentioned that there are no manufacturers making a 4K OLED touch screen higher than 60 Hertz
