Not many people probably still use a grease gun, but I have this one and have had it for 10 years it works good once you get a fresh tube of grease loaded in it. I am going to pull the trigger on another one for another location so i don't have to drag the one i have back and forth

Literally every operator in construction or equipment owners still uses a grease gun. LOL. Everyday they spend 15mins greasing their rig

I've had this for a couple years. Works great for my old backhoe with several dozen grease fittings, some in tight spots. Hold the gun with one hand, the hose end on with the other hand, pull trigger. Much easier and faster than a manual gun where you sometimes need three hands.

I suggest that manual pumping of the grease may be better. When greasing with a manual, pump handle on the gun, one can feel changes in resistance and can develop a "feel" for increase in resistance. When the resistance feels to increase than time to stop to evaluate the the cause, such as there is a problem and damage could occur. Besides, manual pump is reliable.

my biggest challenge with grease guns is getting the new cartridge loaded and free of air,, seems like i waste 1/3 of the tube just getting it installed and I end up getting grease all over everything

It depends on the application. If you're referring to cars, you are correct. Too many people destroy their greaseable joints this way. There's plenty of industrial machinery where this tool is very helpful.

I use a manual grease gun on my loader and backhoe and don't have "handling" issues with the grease gun. That said, I'm using a Lock-n-Lube coupler so I don't have to dedicate one hand to just holding the grease gun whip onto the grease fitting.

The going price range around $129 to $169. The red slashed price is more realistic for the m18 model.

Decent deal. It works pretty well but mine is a little picky on getting the air out from a fresh tube of grease. Once it gets going, it does the job though. Definitely better than a manual gun.

In for 1. Greasing a skid steer with a manual gun kills time and productivity. This is even slicker if you have other compatible Milwaukee tools, but it's a great deal regardless. $30 less than the Harbor Freight alternative.
