Duracells leak almost 95% of the time for me.

They havent been good in like 10 years.
I've had many devices destroyed by Duracell batteries, by leaks or expansion.

Never again.
Energizer has been the best by far for many years. Duracell indeed leak and anything you leave them in for a significant amount of time good luck.

Which ones would you folks recommend that have longer shelf life and won't leak?

That battery expired in 2016, if you had it for that long, and I'm guessing even before that, there's no battery that won't absolutely leak

I switched to rechargeables (IKEA Ladda, which are rebranded Eneloops) a few years ago and never looked back.

That pic was taken in 2014, when it destroyed my remote control.

I will say they were good at customer service at replacing damaged items. One was a $40 Maglite and later I think a TV remote but still a hassle. Usual questions stored inside? Hot environment? Etc. they did make good on that and the remote but I just avoid them and haven't had issues with other brands including Energizer and Amazon basics.
If they are going to be used up quickly and not left in a device for extended periods then a pretty good deal. But if you are going through a lot you should be looking at rechargeable like Eneloops instead anyway.
