It's a newer breed of oat. From their site:

More Protein by Nature: Our innovative Protein Oats are made from a special variety of oats that is naturally higher in protein, offering 60% more protein than regular oats*; grown and milled with care, without added protein powders.

48% Fewer Carbon Emissions: Protein Oats are grown from a special variety of hull-less oats that sheds its hulls before harvest, so energy-intensive steps like dehulling and steaming are eliminated.

These are hard to digest. Microwave doesn't seem to cook well. Have to boil on the stove only otherwise great product.

Make overnight oatmeal in the fridge and reheat in the microwave in the morning.

You laugh at me but I made a best effort to help. My SO and her friends still talk about this, and yes in 30 seconds I found an article on the internet and posted it for what it's worth and yes I know what date it says on the article thanks so much for your help!

Oats protein. Waffles are one of my go to treat options. I also buy oats from costxo 10lb bag for around $9. Mix it with protein powder, kodiak and krusteaz mixes
