Chuckle.. I'm in danger.

I have, and love the american acoustasonic telecaster. But I wish I'd gotten the Jazzmaster version. Now here's a chance to pick one up for a good price.. and I could probably recoup $700ish out of the telecaster just selling it to guitar center.
Ugh!

I wanted to like it, but they play more like an acoustic than an electric. Let's just say that, unlike Gibson or Taylor, Fender are not particularly known for their acoustics. I ended up with a PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo from the Sam Ash deal, which is more on the electric side of the equation and it's pretty much always within arm's reach at home…

I have the American Acoustasonic Telecaster natural finish and love it. Very light weight and sounds great. Highly recommend. Only thing is the microUSB isn't my favorite but works fine as long as it's charged. Bought from guitar center a year and a half ago for $1200. For anyone interested in the cheaper option, check out the Acoustasonic player without the microUSB and 3 way switch (instead of five for the American).

Make sure to buy the power pins for this guitar. I've heard of people's strings breaking in the metal end piece going down and touching the circuit board and frying the guitar.

I've got the Jazzmaster. It's not a "traditional acoustic". But excellent couch guitar (Tele one would be better shaped and smaller). Lots of different sounds.

Never once heard of this. Had mine for awhile. Physically impossible.

Yeah, they are kind of strange, but the Jazzmaster makes a little more sense to me. Without the telecaster bridge pickup mounted to the bridge, is it really at all like a telecaster?

Oh man, the temptation of the holidays. I literally just paid off the balance of my last Adorama dance.

Had that red one briefly last night and now this. I'd keep an eye on any other colors

I've too have never heard of this nor thought it to even be a possibility. It's got to be around the same odds as getting hit by lightning.

I have installed the Power Pins 2.0 on an Acoustasonic Telecaster. Not sure about making string changes any easier or tone/sustain improvement. However, I did notice less noise with the magnetic pickup selected. (I'm in an electrically noisy environment that is not conducive to single coils.
