Home Depot has the 12 volt Milwaukee M12 3/8 inch ratchet and M12 screwdriver combo kit with 1.5 ah RedLithium battery, charger, and tool bag for only $99.00, regularly $199.

With a Military discount, it's only $89.10.

This is an especially great deal if you're looking for a Milwaukee 3/8 inch power ratchet, because it normally lists at $149.00 and is currently on sale for $99.00 as a "tool only" purchase.

Any thoughts on this deal vs https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../328814689 (2 ryobi 1/4 and 3/8 extended brushless with no battery $189)? I already have a 1/2" ryobi impact, so I'm using that battery for these 2 ratchets, but now I'm thinking this milwaukee might be better for my needs? Smaller with battery included. I'm just a diyer on my car.
I don't think I need the torque as the battery ratchet will be just be to quickly fasten/unfasten. Thoughts?

I have the M12, it's smaller and gets into tighter areas deep in the engine bay.

Downgraded from m18 to m12 fuel for compactness and weight. Car enthusiast here. Have Ryobi stuff for home tools and one-off stuff.

In the shop we mainly used battery impacts. Power ratchets had limited usefulness. The higher torque ratchets were a pain to hold all day.

Stick with the Ryobi since you have the battery(ies) already.

M12 batteries are cheap on ebay after the holidays as people part them out from kits. But they still get pricey. I wouldn't use any less than a compact 3.0ah or bigger xc 4.0ah on the ratchet.

My 2 cents.

Nothing an extension and/or universals wouldn't solve on an impact usually.

Oh yea, the screwdriver in this kit is pretty unimpressive. Good for an extra thing to keep in the house but they're frequent on flea bay for really cheap anyhow.

Does this come in separate boxes? I just want to keep the screwdriver.

The screwdriver sits around and collects dust most of the time, but did come in handy when I had to install a lot of outlets and light switches.

The 3/8 ratchet is useful but the 1/4 is a pretty specialized/rarely used tool and will more than likely just sit around collecting dust unless you have European cars.

I have the screwdriver and love it personally. Much lighter and convenient than my M18 tools. Good power for what it is and comes in really handy working on auto's and stuff.

The screwdriver is awesome for small home projects. I use it all the time. Don't listen to anyone saying it's useless… it's great!
