The review you quoted may be confusing things. The (Texas Instruments CC2652P-based) "P" adapter has long been the stable and preferred option. The (Silicon Labs EFR32MG21-based) "E" adapter only had experimental support until recently.
Also, the "E" adapter can (and for Z2MQTT, must) use the EZSP protocol. You could never use this with the "P" adapter, nor would you want to.
In summary, there is no need to swap out the "P" adapters. They will continue to work well, with or without firmware updates, for a long time. And, IMHO, they are still the preferred version.

I have 3 of these in use in Home Assistant, but recent updates to Zigbee2MQTT now make these sticks deprecated. I now need to buy the "E" version instead of the "P" version. The P version is no longer up-gradable and uses the EZSP firmware. The newer firmware going forward is Ember and requires the E stick instead. I'll be swapping to the E sticks now.

I ordered an SLZB-06M from this seller a couple of weeks ago for $22 and change, shipped. Took about a week to get here, worked perfectly right out of the box. No problems for me.
I had ordered an SLZB-06M from Amazon for $60+ previously and its LAN chip was DOA, and Amazon is just sending a replacement, which I assume will have the same issue. We'll wee.
I would pay $9 buck more for the Smlight slzb-06, better coordinator with PoE
But wait there's more! This enables you to potentially place the coordinator in a more centralized location away from your server or any competing 2.4ghz sources. I am using mine to use Home Assistant in a high availability setup using a Proxmox cluster. Previously I was using 3 of these P models and just flashed them as repeaters and plug them into the UPS's around the house. I no longer use any mains powered devices that aren't on a UPS that act as a router to keep the security sensors up during a power failure. Although, I am slowly moving those sensors over to my zwave LR network, also using a poe coordinator.

What do you use for a POE Z-Wave Coordinator?
This along with the Zooz adapter from Amazon for $20. The range is insane compared to the older standard even in a very saturated wireless environment. https://tubeszb.com/product/z-wave-poe-kit/

Slow and cheap. First one to come up for me, not promoting this seller.
