The pro is a TLC chip which is better.
all you need to do is reformat the disk. everything marketed as "for mac" charges more money for the exact same thing

Says delivery should be between Jan 15-20th. I bought it anyway so I don't miss the deal but I will still be on the lookout for a similar deal that might ship earlier
