I'll chime in with how bad these are off the tee when it comes to spin. I played Kirkland on and off for awhile now and always felt subjectively that I was losing distance off of tee shots, sometimes quite significantly .

Month ago I setup a golf sim in my garage with an optical launch monitor and been having a lot of fun going through my equipment looking at the numbers. Finally confirmed how bad these are off the tee. Extremely high spin, almost 1K more in some instances , enough to take off 20 yards on a consistent basis .

For context , my club head speed is around 105 avg and I carry driver around 240-245 with a rollout up to 270. Not only do these not carry as far, they basically just stop once landing.

It's significant enough that I can attribute at least 2-3 strokes a round to it. As tempting as the price is for these , it just wasn't worth it for me . I'd rather buy mint refurbished balls.

Take all this with a grain of salt because this is my swing and my situation. My guess is that slower swing speeds might not notice anything along with any other amount of variables unique to you .
Good deal. Just bought 2 boxes. Should last me month or so (24 in the woods; 24 in the water) ☺Thanks!

I think there is a newer version of this ball in stores now, box has more red lettering on it.

Oh THAT'S why. Here I am thinking it was my stance, back stroke, swing, follow-thru, aim, angle of club face, club choice, grip, shoes, tight pants, number of beers, choice in friends.

Phew! What a relief!

Yeah these look to be the older version. It doesn't have the hallowed out arrows on the ball

I can confirm. I saw both boxes side by side in store. One at blow out prices, one at full price.

Still have nightmares of the bad batches of Kirklands from a few years ago. Are we passed that, are these dependable? I bought those bad Kirklands and was gifted them so outside of the box I couldn't tell a bad one from a good one. Ended up dumping all just to avoid grabbing a bad one out of my bag

Isn't v3 the current ball? These are v3, are they not? @Burnsj63 mentioned he got a bad batch. Are those v2 balls?

If the issue you're referring to is them cutting the cover on wedge shots you should be fine. Kirkland balls are EXTREMELY spinny off the tee so they will exacerbate a high handicapper slice. If you're a low handicap player you don't lose enough balls to make the lower price matter. If you're very novice and losing 10+ balls per round you should probably buy refurbs in bulks for less but these are fine too. These are "fine" but not something I will play with anymore.

Surprisingly, this deal is actually .06 more expensive than at my local Costco. Still a good deal.

I like the kirkkands because they have a lower trajectory off the tee. I can go a few yards more with a v1, and I like the v1 more because it's a bit heavier off the tee. But for everyday these are fine for me.

on the website they're $29.99 for 2 dozen and they've been that in-store for a while. I guess this is how they're going to raise the price on these?
