Milwaukee's 12v tools rival 20v tools in quality and capability. And the battery packs work perfectly fine in all their tools.
But as mentioned this is a good deal and stands on its own. No need to spout rubbish. This is a great deal for those who got in on the fire sale that Lowe's did with this same line over Christmas.

Milwaukee needs a clean sheet design 12v platform. Until then its potential is majorly handicapped by the need to be compatible with the pistol grip design batteries…especially the 1P packs.
This problem will only get quite over time until they either start from scratch …even if they completely abandoned 12v 1P batteries which they wouldn't do obviously …that would help alleviate some of the constraints but not all
Having said that, if you've got reasons for sticking with Milwaukee I get it, Not trying to talk you out of Milwaukee, just trying to talk myself into this cheaper platform

Having said that, if you're a professional using the 12v lineup from Milwaukee and you have experience that suggests the quality or usable lifespan etc is better that's a different story. Not trying to talk you out of Milwaukee, just trying to talk myself into this cheaper platform

Power tool companies switching over to usb-c, especially Milwaukee and makita, would be insanely gratifying to me because they've both acted like they have these insanely high tech batteries and charging systems that can't be safely imitated or duplicated etc and you need to be charged $300 for a high speed charging dock etc when in reality the single largest change to allow for higher speed charging is a fan in the charging base 😂

"Milwaukee Claims Exclusive Right to Make Lithium-Ion Tools"
A decade ago they sued almost every power tool manufacturer…except Ridgid due largely to a licensing agreement that sees Ridgid power tools manufactured by Milwaukee's Parent company
(Don't worry a handful of years later when Milwaukee decided to enter into new markets and compete in trade specialized tools that Ridgid largely dominated, Milwaukee said hey Ridgid not only are we competing with your battery vacs/drain snakes etc now but we're suing you too now to say you can't make ANY lithium power tools without paying us royalties. Luckily they lost) A patent infringement lawsuit filed in Wisconsin could force some Milwaukee competitors to pay up or to stop making tools and batteries that use Lithium-Ion cells.
How INSANE is it though to think Milwaukee sued a peer in 2022!!! Two short years ago over the right to make lithium based tools at all.
Kinda wish Tesla had done that then battery cars would be expensive another decade and I could keep my V8's but I digress
