Yeah and it was a pricing error. You are not getting it for that price again any time soon.
They canceled those orders.
It's 'fine' - just a slightly over clocked 13th gen. Realistically though any mainstream laptop from the past 4 years will be more than sufficient power wise for almost anything thrown at it that isn't gaming or very intensive video editing.

The biggest thing for me on this laptop is that it's slimmer and lighter than almost every other 15.6 inch laptop. If you travel, every mm counts.

Most 15.6 inch laptops are around 9.3 inches, and 16" 16:10 laptops are usually 9.8 inches. That makes it too tall for most airlines to even use. To give context: the average economy tray table for an aircraft is 9.5 inches. So you want a bit less so you can have the laptop directed in an angle and thus usable. This extends to crowded commuter trains (LIRR in my case).

Other than the LG gram (which costs like 3x more) there just isn't any laptop with this screen size under 9 inches in width. And that matters if you use a laptop in any kind of public transportation, as the more narrow the less the lid takes up space when open (which means it can fit more crowded spaces with less legroom).

Plus windows laptops at this price point are usually built with shoddy materials with crappy wifi cards. This is using an Intel WiFi card and a metal shell protecting it. Both things that really matter a lot for longevity and enjoying a laptop on the go.

I think a machines wifi card for windows is the most underrated thing - when you're saddled with some of these crappy Realtek cards that keep randomly failing or disconnecting, it really makes for a frustrating user experience when 99% of what people use laptops for requires internet all the time.

End of the day: it's a lot more reliable and well built than most cheapo generic Lenovo/HP/Dell PCs. That alone makes it worth it imo.

Yes, and everyone has to check their credit card statements to see what Samsung actually did with that snafu.

I didn't have to check anything. What did people have issues with?

I purchased the item for $159.99 and was surprised by its next-day delivery from Best Buy. I had anticipated a cancellation, but it did not occur.

I'm assuming this means there is not a way to add more memory later on?

Edit: This is what I found online although it is not specific to this exact model. Looks like there is no method to upgrade the memory later on.

Unlike the DDR laptops, the LPDDR4x laptops are not upgradable. The memory is directly soldered on the motherboard. This might be a deal-breaker for a lot of people who want a system with upgradeable memory.

In for one. I have had great luck with the Samsung tablets and for an I7 this seems pretty good.

Whenever you see "LPDDR" as a type of RAM, it's always soldered. There is no socketed LPDDR for laptops.

Oh wow, good for you. They got none near me to pick up when that happened. A few months back, I got it for $300 with a $200 trade-in for a 10 year old HP I3. They delined my tradein but later accepted after talking with customer services. I love the build and the second SSD slot.

Not all of them, I was able to pick mine up for that price. But he made it seem as if Samsung was charging more on the card which I did not hear of anyone saying that

FYI: you can find these all over eBay for like $400 new now ever since that Samsung glitch thing a couple weeks back.
