You can get the atmos rears on eBay or open box like new for around $100 - $150. It's definitely worth it over these I've had them both.

Are you referring to 9500s?

If you mean the 9500S atmos rears, their page says that they are compatible with Q800D, QS730D, S800D & S801D Soundbars, which I don't have. Coincidentally, they also get a $100 discount, bringing them down to $200.

Bought these to pair with my compatible Samsung soundbar (can't remember the model number off the top of my head, I paid around $200 for it on sale). At first the paired but you couldn't hear from them without being right up with your ear next to it). It's very difficult to change the settings, like bass, treble, etc, without accidentally switching back to the soundbar settings. Once finally getting all settings as loud as possible which is a 6 for rear speaker volume, bass, treble, they sound ok. Not bad not great probably what you might expect for $100. It's such a pain that it's almost not worth it, but if everything just worked when turning the TV on I think I would've been ok after it was finally set up.

Make sure you notice they aren't like you see in the picture. The speakers require speaker wire to go from each speaker to the module (black box about 8" x 2" x 5") and that module needs to be plugged into an electrical outlet. If I remember correctly it also didn't come with speaker wire.

After about a day, it started just randomly disconnecting from the sound bar, and so would have to pull the module out from wherever it's hidden (under my bed for me since I had, these two speakers mounted above my headboard in my room) and go through the reconnecting process, which requires using a paper clip to push in and reset the connection and some other steps. After a few days, I could no longer get it to reset it all, I called Samsung and had to go through all of those steps that I had tried 1000 times with them on the phone and finally they said that I could send them in for repair. So I pulled it all out and boxed it up and sent it in. When they came back I again had the same problems, where they worked fine and then just continue to disconnect automatically, which makes it not worth it. After going back-and-forth with customer service many times They finally said I could box up and send in the ones I had and they would send in a new pair to me. The second time around it was the exact same story. They are now boxed up and just sitting in my closet.

SWA-9100s has a separate connection module, SWa-9200s does not.

I paid about that for 9500s to go with my Samsung S800D. I was surprised how good they sound.

That model number is critical to your story. Specific ones have known issues.

Finally got fed up with the Costco's Q67CB. I ordered the S60D open box from Best Buy and realized I might want the Q600C or QS730D more. Samsung Shop wouldn't let me get to checkout on 9200s with the promo price last night. I'll try to work on it more today.

The manual shows the power adapter being plugged into only the left speaker. Speaker wire connects the 2 speakers to each other but the left speaker connects wirelessly to the soundbar.

These are very cheap rears. My parents have these and I have a similar setup with the atmos rears and it's a huge difference. Also the atmos rears you can just plug into any outlet separately.

These rears just overall have very mediocre sound quality I really don't like these.
