JFK is strictly worse than flying out of Newark for many people. This should be in the title unless the airport you fly out of is flexible.
Why is it worse?
They have the rudest ATC in the country. (Any VASaviation fans here?)

Newark is NJ. If you're seeing "NY", that's not Newark.
Ya but just like the sports teams it gets labeled as NY by the airline/travel sites

If you type 'New York City' into a flight search engine you get all three airports because they're all roughly equidistant to Manhattan and all primarily serve the New York City metropolitan area.
