.....
RJ-45 10 gpbs are not the same price range as sfp. sfp to rj-45 10 gbps are at least $30 a pop.

Beware... I owned this exact switch, as well as its identical cousin the QNAP QSW-2104-2T, and they both exhibited 'lock ups' several times per day which stopped all traffic.

I got a refund for the QNAP, but even after replacement RMA the TRENDnet still exhibits the problem and firmware updates via PuTTY don't fix.

Ultimately, I had to go with the 5-port TEG-S750 which has all 10G RJ45 ports, but is much more expensive. It's done better, but still not perfect.

If you don't need the 10gb, the other switch with 8 ports at $129 is probably the better option.

While there's always the bit about TP-Link being insecure (which is verifiably true) the more important argument against TP-Link is that their implementations are garbage and they promise far more than they can actually offer. I will never own another TP-Link product and am in the process of gutting my house of them.

Like all Aliexpress items, price fluctuates. Currently $34.

Serve the Home has been reviewing these.

Even better when staff delete your comments pointing out as such, as they did with me on a post about Chinese axes using an American name to claim they were "American".

In my experience, Trendnet was always the inbred cousin of TP-Link. Somehow even worse. Though I haven't used a Trendnet product since 2007 when I last used their routers. Didn't even know the company was still around. It was always the bottom of the barrel for price/quality.

I got a qnap version for the last year... Absolutely zero issues, zero lock ups.

LOL maybe that's why the price went down on that switch recently....
