Are silver purchases subject to income tax?

$600 for 20 one ounce coins. Subtract 2% for an executive membership, 2% for credit card rewards. Comes out to $576. You can sell these for about $29.30 each or $586 for 20. making about $10 per roll of 20.

Definitely easier ways to make $10. I bought 10oz bars some years ago for $20/oz and used to give one to each of my friends' kids when they were born, but I'm all out now. Also, I don't really understand why preppers stock up on this stuff. Can you live off gold and silver? No. I'd rather have food. How are you going to sneak up on people to steal their provisions when you are carrying sacks of metal jingling around?

You use SLV as your silver spot price? You are doing it all wrong.

Why would you be charged *income* tax on an *expense*?
