Google is introducing their Google Pixel 4a Smartphone Battery Performance Program and offering eligible individual end-users of impacted devices an opportunity for a free battery replacement listed below. If your Google Pixel 4a Smartphone is impacted, check the registration page to see if you're eligible for a battery replacement option near you

Battery replacement is available at walk-in repair centers in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, and India.

Mail-in repair is also available for customers in the United States. Battery replacement is only available in eligible locations and while battery supplies last.

If battery replacement is not convenient or you would like to explore other options, you can also visit our registration page to claim one of the other appeasement options:
  • $50 USD (or local equivalent) payment
  • $100 USD (or local equivalent) Google hardware discount code applicable towards the purchase of another Pixel phone on the Google Store (as available)

Doesn't seem to work for Pixel 4a 5G. I just tried now thinking they were the same, but I recall not - Google had released a 4a and a 4a 5G separately.

It gives a message, "The IMEI you entered is not for a Pixel 4a device."

My wife's Pixel 4a turned out not to be eligible (it is a 4a, not a 4a 5G) but it still works fine for her. MY Pixel 4a got replaced last year because the battery could not hold a charge long enough to be useful anymore (huh...). I pulled it out of storage (it was not worth it for a trade in) and checked the IMEI... sure enough, mine is eligible.

If you cannot power on your phone, you can also check the IMEI by pulling out the SIM card tray on the lower left side (need a pin or something to release it using the pinhole there). The IMEI is printed on the tray in very small font.

No they're giving the 4a 5g users the shaft. The last 3 updates it has received drastically shortened my on time and one of them literally made my son's stop charging. Really has me reconsidering buying another pixel despite it being the only phone I have used since 2016.

Be cautious on the taking the $100 discount code, it probably wont combine with sale prices which are often greater than $100 on most of google's phones. I had some before and they were useless because the sale prices are more than the discount code.

The 4a isn't even supported with updates anymore, right? So without a custom ROM not really a good idea to still use it.

WM rep said the SE3 is going to $99. at the end of Jan this month ahead of the SE 4 release. But that remains to be seen. Actually a Premier rep who handle WM post paid phones.

Appreciate! I still have the original box, so I was able to enter the IMEI printed on the box and selected to get $50 for a phone that's been in a drawer for several years.

Did you get any confirmation after the submission? If u retry submitting with same imei it says appeasement in progress
