Really depends on the method of extraction and the amount used. These are likely OK but I wouldn't want to dump sunflower oil in a pan to fry things.

Is there any solid evidence that seed oils are actually bad for you? Or does it depend on if they are superheated and such? These are a great source of magnesium...I think the ones Costco sells are a better deal and don't have any oil or you can buy ones without salt or anything at HEB and such in bulk.

Since the package does not tell how the seed oils were extracted, i would stay away from the product.

We love the Good Sense sunflower seeds so these'll probably be really good too.
I usually get Eden pumpkin seeds, roasted with salt but no oil, the way I make them myself.
But the price of these is too good not to try so thank you.

As for the seed oil controversy, it reminds me of all the people who say cholesterol is bad even though your body makes it to help digest protein.
Too many people repeat things without knowing the facts or doing independent research.
When the medical mafia, their hospitals and drug pushing doctors say something is good or bad, remember, they get paid when you stay sick and buy their drugs.

No pic of back of package on Amazon. Always a red flag. Many reviews say the seeds are grown in China or "overseas." Why do they hide the country of origin?

What's wrong with China? Chinese have longer life expectancy than Americans. Americans will live longer if we eat more like the Chinese.

Aside from their history of food safety scandals, they are just swell!

Like America doesn't have a problem with unsafe foods and eye drops right now? Give me a break.

It's basically the extraction process that makes them unhealthy. They are not cold pressed and are far too processed.
But the fact of the matter is that any oil could be unhealthy if consumed in large quantities.
I generally refrain from buying healthy snacks that are oil-roasted because that defeats the purpose of healthy snacking.

Per the American Heart Association's website: There's no reason to avoid seed oils and plenty of reasons to eat them

These are some of the most expensive roasted pepitas per ounce on Amazon even at the sale price. How is this a deal?

thats not correct. These are grown in China. I've not found an organic pumpkin seed thats not from china. It must just be a supply chain thing. Most pumpkin seeds are from there.
