Thanks for linking to the other thread, since a lot of the discussion there would be just as relevant for this CPU. Just as with that offer, this one's value is bolstered by the inclusion of a heatsink. Unfortunately for anyone building from scratch, the best motherboard deat for new/retail would probably be around $80-90. At the same time, if you're trying to upgrade a system to qualify for that automatic upgrade to Windows 11 (I've personally still got a couple of PCs in this camp) and you want to stick to team blue (this is not the case for me - I'm just looking for the slickest deal) this could be a solid way to swap in CPU, motherboard and potentially RAM for around the $200 price point.

I know their price per share seems cheap, but Their books don't look very good, I'd get out at first chance you get
honestly that i3 should have been more than enough for an HTPC. whens the last time you reinstalled windows?
For HTPC you are getting AV1 hardware decode with the 11400. Not sure why the system couldn't last 10 years though?
Deal seems dead, I'm seeing over $160.

If you have a microcenter near you an i3-14100 which has less cores but, from what I can tell is still faster, is only $99 and has much better motherboard availability at less than $20 more.
Was looking at old Dell workstations but, its a hassle to transplant them to a standard ATX case so I can get more HDD bays.
Otherwise a good deal if you are rocking an 10th/11th gen i3 for some reason and want a reasonable upgrade.
