About this Game:
  • Inspired by Allison Road. Supernormal is a psychological horror game set in a seemingly ordinary apartment harboring dark secrets. Play as Detective Wyatt, tasked with unravelling the disappearance of Masato Sakamoto's daughter. Search for clues and unravel the sinister truth.
  • Solve the Case
    • Your detective skills shape the story, leading to one of two different endings. It all depends on the number of clues you discover and how observant you are.
  • Voice Recognition
    • Communicate with the paranormal entities using your microphone. Will they offer crucial clues or mislead you into dead ends?
  • Microphone Detection
    • Engage with the paranormal, but remember this crucial rule: if they unveil their presence and hear you, STAY QUIET and DON'T MOVE, or risk altering the game's ominous outcome.
  • Photoscanned Graphics
    • Using Unreal Engine 5, the game is set in a hyper-realistic environment. It also uses photo scanned graphics to enhance every tiny detail, including the horror!
  • Randomized Paranormal Events
    • Introduces unpredictable, spine-chilling encounters that are randomly generated throughout the gameplay. No two scares are alike, intensifying the terror and replayability.
  • Supernormal offers about 2 hours of gameplay and combines detective work with puzzle-solving in a horror setting. Expect to search for clues and solve puzzles to progress through the game.
  • This Game may contain content not appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work: General Mature Content

Graphics of the home look pretty good. It is a shorter game, about 90 minutes. Probably creepy but kinda trope-y. Why does the ghost need to be in her underwear? And how many times can we be surprised by a figure doing a contortionist act?

Jury is still out on Steam Deck compatibility, but at this price, I'll take one for the team to test it!

Without too many spoilers, the ghost is dressed that way because of what happened to her.

Very fun game, perfect to play in pitch black darkness during a stormy night. Better value than a cheeseburger at this price.

Would appreciate your feedback, as Id most likely give this a try on the steamdeck while traveling.

Looks interesting! How do you play it? Mouse? Keyboard? Joystick? VR Setup? What are the controls? I realize you need a mic, what do I need other than that?

So far, no luck. I've tried Proton Hotfix, Experimental, and 9.x. Each have a black screen. I then went back to a 5.x. Version and got a prompt to install Visual C++, but that failed too. Looks like some tinkering will be required to make it run. UPDATE: Finally got it to run with Proton GE 8-14, but it runs pretty intensively with high fans.

I played it not too long ago. Short but not disappointed in the money or time I spent on it. Nothing is super difficult, has some decent jump scares. If you like light horror and puzzle games it's worth a play through. The communication system is interesting, but I wish there was a little more to it. The dev released another game a few months back. I need to play through it soon.
