I love these MicroSD USB readers. I actually prefer this combo to any modern USB flash drive I've found.
Anyone know if these work well with security camera or are high endurance ones better for security cameras?

And micro SD cards also tend to have higher endurance than USB flash drives. They stand up to moisture, temperature, and read/write cycles better.

Was holding for a card only at $15, but for $20 with the USB reader I'll bite.

These are U1 cards if that matters to some. If you don't need the adapter, the Samsung EVO Select 256gb is U3 for the same price.

Edit: I was incorrect. These are U3 cards.

?????
Are you mixing up U1 and UHS-I? The picture very obviously shows U3 in the bottom middle for the 256GB card.

I was able to add to cart, just to check the shipping.
I guess they ran out.

Anyone try this combo to see if the read speed is really close to 180MB/s using the supplied reader? My understanding (and correct me if I'm wrong) is to obtain high speeds over 100MB/s, you need a reader that support some special transfer modes, otherwise, you max out around 80-90MB/s (real large file transfer speed in Windows).

I was looking for a tiny USB-C reader similar to the one here, and found one from UGREEN on Amazon, but tops out around 90MB/s even with a 1TB Sandisk Extreme.

Yeah it hits those speeds. Samsung and SanDisk have some weird proprietary tech that goes past the 100mbps limitation of UHS.

Thanks. Got one (mostly) for the reader.

You are right. The first thumbnail looked like a U1 symbol, but I stand corrected.

Scroll down to delivery and you'll see both delivery and in-store pickup show sold-out.

Not the best interface, but TL;DR sold out on samsung.

Personally I never buy memory cards on amazon. They're frequently cheap elsewhere without the risk of counterfeit cards.

Yes, though earlier the delivery option was not marked as unavailable yet (but add to cart still grayed out). Either way, definitely oos now

(And agreed about avoiding Amazon)
