I've had several hose reels and this is a quality one that has good engineering gone into the design.

I have this. Had a few other brands that all rusted or broke. This is the first one that seems like it will last AND is comfortable to use.

Agreed. I also have this reel and for this price it's a no brainer. If you really want to buy a hose reel that will last forever look up Eley.

I have an Eley from over 15 years ago when it was called a Rapid reel and it is still going strong. For $88 this gorilla seems like a relative bargain if it is half the quality of the Eley. Looks like it would function well. Yes there are cheaper reels, but they tend to be more trouble that they're worth, easily tipping over, not functioning well, breaking, or rusting.

I got a similar one from Gorilla last spring. It has a hose guide that slides left to right, this one does not. These are built tough and will probably last ten years or more while exposed to the elements. 200 feet of quality hose is real heavy and you want your reel to be up to the challenge, this is.

Great build quality. Loving mine. A bit pricey even on sale but I'd rather spend extra supporting a product that lasts than buying junk every other year.

Yea I think its def a cry once kind of thing for Eley, the build quality is really miles over this. Especially if your using it outdoors with no shade and plan on moving it around quite a bit

I hope the fittings are brass and not aluminium.

I have this and paid more and probably should have sent it back. I have a 50' heavy hose on it and this thing can't really handle it. The hose slips and unwinds the reel and is just generally a pain. If you use standard hoses that are light it's probably pretty good.

How does it compare to something like this steel hose cart, which is cheaper?
